By using Clap, as a venue partner or a guest, you agree to these terms.

Clap provides a QR and NFC-based payment interface that lets venue guests view their bill, split it, tip, and pay, syncing with the venue's existing POS. Clap is a technology provider, not the merchant of record for any transaction — payments are processed by our trusted, licensed payment provider. The venue remains responsible for the goods and services provided to the guest.

You're responsible for the accuracy of menu, pricing, and table data configured in Clap, and for maintaining a valid account with our payment processor. You agree to use Clap in compliance with applicable UK and EU law.

Launch programme terms are as set out in your individual launch agreement or proposal. Unless otherwise agreed, either party may end participation at any time with no cost or penalty.

During the launch programme, Clap charges no setup or monthly fee. Standard payment processing fees charged by our payment provider apply to each transaction. Fee changes, if any, will be communicated in advance.

No account is required to use Clap. By scanning a table code and completing payment, you agree to pay the amount shown. Refunds and disputes about food, service, or billing are handled directly with the venue — Clap facilitates payment but does not control venue policies.

Clap is provided "as is." To the extent permitted by law, Clap is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the platform. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.

Venue partners may stop using Clap at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for misuse, fraud, or breach of these terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of England and Wales.
